General Comments

Hey folks,

Three things:

1) I wanted to say "Thank you!" to Harry Crofton from Portmarnock in Ireland for your donation to the Bible Christian Society. Normally, I would have sent a private email, but I inadvertently deleted the donation form that had your email address on it. So, I hope you're reading this, Harry, because I try to send a personal thank you note to everyone who donates to support this apostolate...I greatly appreciate each and every one of you!

2) Thank you to all the folks who attended the St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) banquet in Detroit this past Friday night! I really enjoyed being there and speaking to all of you. And I appreciate your support of that fine evangelization organization. If you're not familiar with the SPSE, you can find out more about them here: http://www.streetevangelization.com/ and then you need to talk to your pastor and schedule the SPSE to come to your parish to do an evangelization training seminar. Well worth the meager funds it will cost you to get them out there.

3) If you live in the Diocese of Birmingham, please pick up a copy of the Huntsville Times or Birmingham News this Sunday, September 24th. The 2nd of 12 in my series of evangelization ads - full page, and in color - will be in the papers on Sunday. The topic for this ad is: Which Church is THE Church? If you see it, let me know what you think about it...

Introduction

Okay, I won't be doing a regular newsletter this week, instead I will be asking for your help. As many of you may remember, I did an interview with Jeff Pearlman - sportswriter, author - a couple of years ago who does a regular feature on his website called "The Quaz." He is an atheist. He asked me ten questions about my life and the Catholic Faith and then printed the answers without any editing. You can see it here: http://www.jeffpearlman.com/john-martignoni/

At the time, I thought it would be a good thing to reciprocate by asking him ten questions and printing his answers in my newsletter. He agreed, but I got busy and never got around to sitting down and coming up with some questions for him. So, I thought I would ask you guys for some ideas. If you could ask an atheist a question, or series of questions, what would you ask?

I have my thoughts as to what I will ask, but I wanted to get some of your thoughts and opinions. So, feel free to send me one or more of the questions you would ask Mr. Pearlman. Remember, though, please keep your emails as short as possible, because if I get a few hundred, I'll be reading the shorter ones way before I read the longer ones.
